Hey, I'm looking for a road frame with canti mounts for my flip flop wheels, which are 700c. Can I use a frame meant for 27" wheels and have the brakes still reach? (or does it depend on the brakeset?) I have old school MTB Kool Stop cantilevers.
My setup with fixed/free flip flop and no brakes right now doesn't make much sense...
Thanks.

how 'bout scamming an old cyclocross fork and just running a front canti and a caliper in the rear?
Well, because I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I have actually thought about just running a front, but of the 50+ forks I have, none of them fit my frame, so I could just get a new frame that will fit one of the forks, but then I should just get the right kind of frame and be able to use both of my brakes. I have a fork that will work with my frame, if I get a threadless stem and headset (because it's so long), but I like old school...
Maybe I will consider a rear caliper, though. Or, just two calipers (maybe old BMX will work?)(I hate road calipers...)
Thanks, jitensha.

i built up an old trek 520 touring frame that had canti mounts. it was originally meant for 27" wheels, but i put 700cs on it and just had to adjust the cantis a little bit, no big deal.
Stronzo, ooh, ooh, ooh, can I see a picture?
Fixer, it's hard to find one with horizontal dropouts, but an old touring frame (preferrably Schwinn
) is what I'm looking for.
