I just wanted to hear a few different strategies for lock-ups in different situations from different people.

Post your locking method! I'd like to hear what people think are the best locks and locking methods. Also, stories of theft attempts (failed or successful) are welcome.

As for me, I currently use two cheap (ten-dollar) u locks. I personally think that using two cheap-o u locks is better than one very expensive fancy U-lock like the New York Kryptonite. I ussually lock one around the downtube, front rim, and whatever sturdy object I am locking too. Then the other goes around the seatstays and the rear rim. Then if someone is able to cut it away from whatever object its locked to, they would either have to carry it away on foot or spend the extra time to cut the second lock on the wheel if they wanted to ride it off. I also sometimes remove the seat and take it with me in some places.

Last I recalled there was a thread exactly like this aside it had many posts and awesome tips and tricks; anyone remember the name of it or providing a link I done forgot it.

ohhhh well if you can find it direct me toward it please. nothing came up in a search i was wondering why it seemed nobody hadn't already made one.

Some lock advice from a locksmith

It's def. out there, I'm just too tired to search.

I use a Krypto New York for backwheel to frame to [Locking structure bolted to ground]
Krypto Mini Evo for front wheel to frame.
Wheels have anti-theft skewers, and if I lock for more than 30 min, a Krypto cable from the front wheel to frame also to locking structure...
