kilo tt seatpost head slipping
the part that actually holds the saddle is slipping around in the post, is there a bolt to tighten or should i weld it until i can get a new post?

Your cog is slipping.
I think he means the clamp on the seatpost itself, which holds the seat to the post.
The Kilo comes stock with a cheapo two-part post. If the part that clamps to your saddle which is inserted into the post is moving around, you definitely need a new seatpost.
BTW, good luck finding a good 26.8mm seatpost.

OP - try tightening the clamp bolt underneath the clamp tighter. I had a problem with the one that came with my Kilo WT, where it would not thread easily into the nut piece on top, and had to really tighten it very hard with a long hex wrench. The worse that can happen is that you ruin it, but it is useless anyway if it won't stay fixed.
Never mind. I now understand the problem, and I agree with Scrod that it is not fixable.

Get a cheap 27.2mm seatpost and make a friend who is good with a lathe.
Seriously. I did this for my Peugeot.

I wasn't talking about that bolt, but it's a moot point since those cheap posts just have the two parts pressed together. Anyway, that's one of the reasons I wouldn't want a Kilo TT because of non-standard sized parts.

Probably so. Even the cheapest Kalloy seatpost is light years ahead in quality over the garbage "Kalin" product supplied in the Kilo. At least on my Kilo WT it was a standard 27.2mm size, and I replaced it with a beautiful Velo Orange Grand Cru, which only comes in that size.

It's swaged together, so you can't take it apart. You may be able to drill a hole through it near the joint and pin it with a self tapping screw.
