Damaged or not? New Reynolds 520 (on KHS Flite 100).

I just got my second KHS Flite 100 delivered. The first one was scratched and had a prominent ding on the top tube.

So, the second one is here and I can judge if I'm looking at a damage or something that has been flatted out on purpose during manufacturing .

~ 2 cm from the derailleur on the derailleur side both the seatstay and the chainstay tubes have been "pressed in". The damage is on the inside of the seatstay/chainstay (closest to the wheel).

Here is an image of the placement of the suspected "damage":

For anybody wondering, it's confirmed all Reynolds 520s has this. Not damage.

Those are there to give you extra chain/cog clearance, I've never needed to do it on a fixed gear, but it could also depend on dropout design..... most geared bikes have some form of this too.

Thank you for your replies. Got a hold of a guy that has the same frame.
And yes, seems there is nothing wrong with the bike.
