I would just like to apologize...

I would like to apologize for my performance tonight, bikeforums. My advice has been piss poor. My jokes and humor, lackluster. Overall, I've just been cranky.

Just went for a night ride. I feel better.

Hopefully we can move on from here. :thumb:

This calls for a group hug.

It's okay buddy, no one got hurt.

...might just call my AA sponsor. Hah.

Don't be so hard on yourself, I wasn't insulted in the least. As for free advice and humor, expectations are what they are, I know I miss-fire regularly in those areas.

TOE CLIPSSSssSSS.

rustybrown 08-17-10 11:49 PM

...taking myself too seriously as of late. Stress levels normalized.

Clips mess up my free Chrome shoes. Which are holding up well so far. Through many thorough soakings and drying sessions.

Though I did realize they sent me Midways instead of Kursks. No worries. It would just be nice to have the toe shell of the Kursk, for the clipsSSss.

LOL, I'd rather not go there. Other's take it too seriously & get worked up too easily over it. ;)

...been thinking about going clipless lately

If I can find a good, used pair of Sidis for the right price.

Squirrelli 08-18-10 12:41 AM

I'm liking this thread.

I also have been looking at shoes and pedals, well actually I've been looking since July, but I don't think I'll get any in the near future.

rustybrown 08-18-10 12:57 AM

thought you pulled the trigger on some shoes during that Nashbar sale.

I think I've been artificially inflating the eBay cycling shoe market with my $38 max bids on every pair of Sidi Geniuses relatively close to a proper size. That's one thing, size. I know my Vans size. Other companies, especially narrow cycling footwear, it might as well be a potshot.

The other is the cost of pedals and cleats.

Squirrelli 08-18-10 01:06 AM

Pretty much the same reasons why I didn't get any of the Nashbar sale shoes. I didn't want to take a plunge to get the shoes that's "my size" and end up too small/big/narrow/wide, I'd rather buy some used ones at one of the shops locally.

Nashbar is still have a sale on shoes still but good shoes are running/ran out of my size.

I don't read all of the threads . . . did I miss something?

Vix, I would go to a LBS and try out some shoes. And then if you have no moral qualms about it, you can look online for the exact shoes that you tried on, knowing they will fit properly.

I did this because I saved $20+ and am a bad person. :innocent:
