This might be an inappropriate place to ask this (but its kinda on topic because it relates to the nashbar deals), but:

How would you guys (gender-neutral) describe Nashbar's shipping process? Is it usually pretty fast? Do they provide tracking? Any problems?

The reason I ask is because I'm super paranoid about shipping stuff to my apartment. The delivery guys typically just drop the packages by the front door of the mail room. I'm worried my stuff might get swiped so I like to know when my package is going to arrive. I want to be there to get it before someone else does. That's one reason I generally use Amazon..because I pretty much know that when I place an order it will be there in 2 days; I time my orders so that delivery days coincide with my days off.

Nashbar is slow as heck, but they give you a tracking number via FedEx.

FedEx's tracking is pretty terrible compared to USPS though, in my experience. For some reason I always get FedEx packages the day after they say they've delivered it, which always makes me really nervous about whether the package got swiped.

I used nashbar for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't a fan of their shipping.

I'll forgive the "slowness" because it all coincided with thanksgiving and I'm sure that just threw everything off. It still took much longer than it had to, even taking the holiday into account, and i never got a tracking number, which had me pretty annoyed.

I don't know if you guys are familiar with this site, but I stumbled onto it the other day and I'm very happy with what I've seen so far. The way it works is it`s a deal a day site (for things local to you - it has most major Canadian and American cities), and you group buy a coupon. EDIT: you have to sign up to view deals - but when don`t you these days..

Recent ones in Victoria, BC have been $40 at a nice seafood restaurant for $20, now it`s $50 at American Apparel for $25... though you guys might be interested. Cheers

Not positive, I've only just stumbled onto it.. thought I'd pass on good deals as I'm sure many of you live in the cities they're affiliated with

shoes and pedals came in. The shoe look nice and the soles are a lot stiffer than the ones in my Shimano shoes. The Time pedals are excellent, they feel better than any SPD pedal I've tried

Ben's Cycle has a coupon for 20% off frames and framesets, including build your own.

How often does a sale like this come up? I'd love to upgrade to a Milwaukee bike but I was planning to hold off until next year or so.

That's pretty cool. The only cycling related Groupon that we've had in Toronto since it started was half price service.

And then the best part is when other posters want cheap Airones to actually use, but they can't get them because they sold out to the people just trying to flip them.

Good times, good times.
