staten island shops recommendations?
 

anyone from staten island and can recommend a good shop. i'm visiting some family here and was thinking of checking out some spots, but dont feel like going and dont have time to go to every one.

I understand that there is a shop in Brielle, NJ that is really good. Its a little ways down the Jersey Shore. Geo

If you're looking for a place that stocks fixed gear bike parts/frames you'll probably be disappointed by the selection from shops in Staten Island. With that said, I'll recommend you check out Bennett's Bicycles at 517 Jewett Ave, off forest ave. Although they don't have much ss or fixed gear bikes, they have some cool mechanics there, many road bikes, mountain bikes, and general cycling gear.

If you're into IRO bikes then I would defiantly recommend you check them out since you'll be in the area and the guy that runs it (Tony) is a cool guy, but I would probably call them first since the address given above isn't a public shop.

For other good spots, your best bet would be to hop over to Manhattan to check out some of the fixed gear friendly shops such as Bike works or Trackstar.
