Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

what did i just buy?

Walked into a pawn shop and all bikes were half off. Found this fixed gear for $60, so $30 after the half off. Have no clue what it is, and I can't seem to ride it. I'm 5' 9", but I don't know if the seat is too high or what, I can barely pedal down.

Maybe I can sell it on craigslist?

If you're asking how much someone here will give you for it, you're doing it wrong. You need to be a paid member of the site to post ads.

Naw man, I'd just do it on local craigslist.

Just tried it again btw, I can't even stand over the top tube without being on my tippie toes.

OK cool.

For 30 bucks, you bought yourself a pretty cool old Fuji conversion. Nothing special but it would make a good beater/bad weather ride. It sounds like it obviously doesn't fit you but you should have no trouble selling it for a little bit of a profit to the right person.

Seconded, that was stupid on the shop's end to sell an ace crank on a bike for $30; nice find.
