GT GTB track frame 54cm (trades?) - $160 (39th and belmont)

Reply to: sale-rza2v-2204013281@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

So I have a used GT GTB track frame for sale. i bought it after my first track bike was stolen, but i ended up finding my stolen bike being ridden down 82nd and i got it back. So i never had the chance to finish building the GT up. It is aluminum, unpainted. right now has a kilo tt fork on it, but i would get a new fork of higher quality to match the frames geometry. its been sitting in my basement for about 5 months, and has a really nice BB. i think its a threaded headset, i would have to check. I would actually prefer to trade the frame for an HD video camera (or just a camera of decient quality {i just dont want some shwaap ass bro cam**). OR trade for a mac (or mac mini) along with a lil cash from my end. point is, i have a really good bike at this point, i dont need to bother with two, and i would like some new gadgets to play with. the frame is in prime condition, minus a few minor scratches from previous owners. There is a minor ding in the top tube, but it is nothing worth worrying about. i can show you the ding in person if you want to meet up and check it out. I live near 39th and belmont, can meet up near there. call or text or reply via email. whatever works.

7020 butted and tapered alloy frame with carbon fork and sealed integrated headset. This frameset was only used for track racing and was never crashed, scratched, or dented. It's in excellent shape. This is a very stiff frame that isn't very common in the US.

I am selling my frame because im getting something else that suites me better. I really liked this frame but I want something that fits better. The original fork was swapped out for this straight bladed fork because I wanted something a little steeper and I just like the look of it better. There are no brake holes in this frame or fork.
Included with the frame are these parts (all pictured):
56cm GTB frame- no dents or major blemishes
Fork- straight blade track fork with 38mm rake
Headset- FSA orbit sealled 1" threadless
Stem- Older Salsa 1" stem 90 deg. x 80mm x 25.4
Clamp- Generic 31.8 clamp

Price: $350 obo

Note: Only the parts listed are for sale

This bike has remarkably been keep almost entirely original, well-preserved, unmodified. The original owner stored it in his garage for 20 years, pretty much never used. All that has been replaced are the tires and bar tape. Everything on it works perfectly and it is ready to ride cross country or just locally. It has front racks (not pictured), a back rack, and three water bottle holders (only 2 are shown in picture) that are all painted the same forest green color as the bike is. It has a fancy, copper-riveted Brooks saddle that is no longer in production. It has an all aluminum frame with Shimano Deore and Dia-Compe components.

We should start a bike underground railroad to sneak abused near-slave conditioned bikes to freedom into the land of new loving owners.

I think one reason for posting things here is to show other people who might not look in that area... if a prospective buyer of a bike happens to live East Coast and you found something West Coast, maybe they can convince West to pick it up and ship it to them in the East...

Guy on ChiFG is selling an unbuilt '09 56cm Fuji Track Pro for $400. The lowest price I've seen is $450 from City Grounds. I'm not sure if he's a member here? The guy with the Cannondale Track and the ridiculous Blue track machine.
