http://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/bik/3640372272.html Maybe the wrong place for this, but it looks like a pretty early step through with a brooks that looks like it is in great shape and the crane head chainring. It counts because it is only one speed right?
|
I think it's a 3-speed, but... I still like it.
|
Pretty crappy picture, could it be a 3 speed?
|
you might be right, I think I see a clamp on the dt, and the hub looks like it could be a three speed

Considering the parts, that Leader isn't a bad deal at all.

i only wanted to spend about $300 since it will be my bike i ride to the mountain and lock up while i hike. Do you think $300 would be a disrespectful lowball? I think he has had it for sale for a while

there's nothing disrespectful about it, either he'll say yes or no. at least ask for 350 at first, or just spend the extra moola
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/bik/3650552159.html looks good, but i am a newb at most of this. Opinions? Which one is better made/better deal? Link to other bike to compare it to http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/bik/3646277327.html |

i've always liked the langster, but i do have a soft spot for the 722. also, the parts on the leader make the price worth it in my opinion. you'll have a good frame, solid wheels, and one of the most sought after seat posts. just look up the going prices for the parts. almost all of the parts on the langster are o8. that'll get the job done, but the leader is better put together i think. i don't know how you feel about straight bars, but i would swicth them out for drops or horns.

Also, what do you think of the color on the Langster? I am a tad bit color blind on greens and stuff like that. Is that a girl color? lol |
I would rather have the leader. Be patient, wait for the.guy, and get a good deal

thanks guys, i will do that and leave the langster as a backup in case the leader gets sold first. My mind is kinda racing right now because i never can find 50-52cm on CL and then two good options pop up at once.
Thanks again @!!!!! |

The guy said he'd take $35 because he just spend about that on new tires/tubes. Thinking about picking it up to gift it to my father to putt around town on - or maybe convert to a fixed gear townie. What say you folks? |
