Up for Sale: Practically brand new, just built fixed gear / track bike. I haven't put but maybe 50 miles on the bike, but could use the money right now if I get a good price. It took me quite a while to find all the parts i wanted and build this thing up. It is really light considering it has Deep V's. Again, the bike is in literally brand new condition and comes with everything (complete) below. The picture was before i cut the steerer tube and added a chain. Here are the parts with the prices

Frame: IRO Mark V Pro (300)
Fork: Carbon Fiber Forte Axis (100)
Seatpost Clamp: Salsa LipLoc (20)
Headset: Tange (30)
Cranks: Sugino 75's (250)
Chainring: Sugino Zen (120)
Pedals: MKS Sylvans (20)
Straps: Soma Leather (30)
Clips: All City Double's (20)
Bottom Bracket: Miche 107 (25)
Wheelset: Deep V's w/ Radial front (260)
Tires/Tubes: Vittoria Rubino III & tubes (60)
Cog: Soma 20t (20)
Lockring: Dura Ace (15)
Seatpost: Thomson Elite (90)
Seat: San Marco Regal Titanium Leather (150)
Stem: Thomson Elite 25.4 (90)
Bars: Nitto BA259aa (50)
Grips: Oury Mountain Grips (10)
Light: Knog Skink (20)
Chain: Izumi Pro (20)

Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything. If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me. Bike should fit between 5'10-6'3. If you add up all the parts your looking at about $1680.. obviously I'm not looking to get anywhere really close to that number, but again the bike is in perfect like new condition so I won't "give it away." Let me know if you have any questions. Pics
50 miles on such a nice bike...why not ride it, it sounds like they spent a long time to make their dream bike

Bull****! That is no Mark V Pro, it is the same frame that jdgesus has.

And I am pretty sure this guy posts in this forum.

seau grateau 02-03-11 10:49 AM

Shenanigans, looks like a Crosslake frame.

Squirrelli 02-03-11 10:58 AM

I think it's one of these.

Isn't the Murphy a rebranded IRO?

jdgesus 02-03-11 12:55 PM

yeah thats the same frame (minus the braze-ons) as mine.
i think the murphy guy buys up 2nds and such.

Question: do all non-Pro Mark Vs use Dedacciai?

This Mark V is made from Dedacciai:
http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/174...set-W/fork.htm

But the product page on IRO's site doesn't list the frame material, and neither does the Murphy eBay listing. It just somes IRO heat treated or custom-drawn.

Squirrelli 02-03-11 09:29 PM

Mark V + fork is made of 4130, Pros are Reynolds 631. I thought the Mark V's from the BikeForums group buy is made of Dedacciai...

Wasn't the group buy some forest green type color? The Price Point IRO is black. Also, BF user klaw has a black Dedacciai IRO. The tubes are very triangular.

I know older IRO Mark V and Pro were more aero than they are now but I am not sure if Mark V nowadays still use Dedacciai. I think if they did, they would say so on the site.

IRO Mark V frame w/ great quality components - sugino crankset, weinmenn aero wheels (better than deep v), etc. About $900 invested, will sell for $375 or best offer. Need to sell soon, hopefully this weekend!

I have lost that fixie feeling and want to sell a frame I was going to build up but no longer want.

55CM Mercier Green Kilo TT Track/fixed gear frame

520 Reynolds Steel
Comes with stem, seat post, seat, seat post clamp, head set and spacers.
$75
Seems like a solid price. I might jump on it. Got a spare Kilo fork laying around anyways.

OK, good. I thought I was alone on this, so I'll reiterate. What's the point of those crank arms? I admit, I am not a visual thinker. Therefore, I'm struggling to even picture these crank arms in action.

I'm waiting for a vet to school us on this...

jdgesus 02-07-11 04:32 PM
