But yes, pretty much all older bikes are of equal quality. Frame materials and components don't really change anything. Just get something that has bright colors.

no they're not. some parts and frames were truly better and a cut above the rest. Except they were so good that NJS banned them :innocent:

I thought you knew a Colnago is just a Huffy with fancy paint job.

Just like how Merckx are actually Free Spirits in disguise.

huffy did make TDF level frames at one point in their life.

+1 Quick jack up the price so kiddies can't afford it with their allowances!

AEO 09-06-10 03:36 PM

that's why you'll never see a cervelo T3 get NJS certification.

The main reason some frames are so expensive is to discourage noobs from converting them to ss/fg.

yobatts 09-06-10 04:21 PM

Damn thats got. thats kinda like my frame but my frame is like the jank version of that haha. it still have some cool trim like that "Do not touch the trim" hi five to whoever knows where thats from.

Well its a Casati frame from the decals on the lugs... so I get half a hi five?

zigmin 09-06-10 04:37 PM

Many bicycle frames are similarly shaped, often made of metal or something like metal. Many have paint. Its all very difficult you see...

yobatts 09-06-10 04:38 PM

i was talking about the quote "Do not touch the trim"
bike nerd =P

squeegeesunny 09-06-10 05:12 PM

talking about Casati frames, there is a guy on my cl thats been trying to sell this Casati Monza for awhile now.

http://media.use.com/images/s_2/70eb...1cb8a8f0_1.jpg

I'd sooo buy the frame by itself..

Squirrelli 09-06-10 05:21 PM

How much is he asking for that Casati?

Also, Murray's are like totally hella good keeper, don't like miss the deal.

yobatts 09-06-10 05:22 PM

thats pretty cool. i swmoke allot of weed so the rasta is much more my thing. i hope murray is not an extra ****ty brand but i guess that was covered under the all old 70-80 steel frames are about the same. its what im counting on.im going to sink about 10x what the frame is worth into it haha.

im pretty sure your just ****ing with me at this point. everything i have read says murrays are about as low end as they come..

squeegeesunny 09-06-10 05:31 PM

He WAS asking for $1500. He realized no one was buying it so he dropped it to $950. Still alittle to steep. I'd gladly buy the frame for $400~ though.

yobatts 09-06-10 05:33 PM

holy **** 1500...wow.

yobatts 09-06-10 05:35 PM

i like the one vixtor posted way more and that cant be worth more than 1500 or 900 even...or is it lol.

Squirrelli 09-06-10 05:35 PM

I've actually been messing around the whole time.

A little too much, I was thinking ~$800 when I first saw it.

yobatts 09-06-10 05:44 PM

would you say murray is = concord? both low end 50$ frames?

xavier853 09-06-10 06:22 PM
