that one^

get that one.

the one thing you don't want is to drop a chain. i've been riding for three years and it happened to me for the first time ever tonight.

brakeless.

downhill.

on a two way street.

immediately before an intersection.

chain basically rotafixed itself and locked the rear wheel up. i rode it like a skid, unclipped before i stopped fully, and came to a stop in the middle of the intersection(green light thankfully) with nothing more than a panicked look on my face. i think the bike is damage free.

never again will i use a ramped chainring because it's cheap and i'm broke.

i picked up a mercier kilo tt as my first fixed gear and i absolutely love it. super solid bike as far as i'm concerned. i bought mine through bikes direct.

Do yourself a favor and go ride a friends for a couple of weeks. i rode a buddies extra fixed gear for nearly a month before i purchased my own. its definitely an investment.

the kilo tt is nice but it doesn't have anything on the Cachet.

It's amazing how many people miss the thread that's usually right at the top of the page.
