Sizing question
 

What do you guys think I should as far as size ??? Everyone tells me to always get a small size frame. I am 6'1" and my current bicycle is 58cm. Should I get it smaller or same size ??? DONT TAZE ME BRO ! :lol:

Plug in the numbers and report back with the results and then let us know what kind of riding you like to do: fast club rides, amateur racing, rec riding, commuting, etc.

And also tell us your bicycling background, like what bikes you felt good on and which one doesn't and why.

Then we can have a good idea what size would work for you.

At his height he probably has clearance for the stand-over of most 60cm bikes.

35, from the site that 531 provided the "competitive fit" is 57cm

At 5'10", I'm most comfortable on 58cm bikes. I doubt at 6'1" you'll be into riding something smaller.

My local Pro shop convinced me to not look at the seat tube size, but top tube length.

TT length FTW, but the shorter the ST with a given inseam, the bigger the seat to bar drop.When in between sizes i'd go for the bigger with a shorter stem unless it's for racing.And as always, standover don't mean d**k.

What do you plan on using the bike for? If its just normal street use you should go with the biggest size you fit comfortably on, which I am going to say is a 60. Have you ever rode a 60cm? If not I suggest you do.

Top tube length is key as members have said, but the other factors are just as important. If you ride a 58 now, I can't think of any reason to go smaller.

If you have stand over clearance for 60cm frames, you wont regret getting it especially if you plan on logging some miles on. Also different companies measure from different points so you may end up fitting on anything from a 58-62.
