Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Goo-Gone and a credit card or guitar pick. As for the Mercier decals, they're under the clear coat so no dice.

methylethylketone - I had some extra and they cleaned up good on metal.

I think there was another similar thread earlier. Acetone might also work.

Start with a hair dryer and try to peel up what you can. Then use the chemicals listed above to remove the glue.
