pants help
So this isn't really fgss related but this is the main place I post on here so I though I'd put it here. I'm at a pants dilemma. I just wore the same pair of jeans for about the past 8 months, of course I washed them and wore shorts some days. They finally wore through on the butt and knees. But now it is winter and I must wear pants more than shorts. The pair fit perfect and were levi's 511; 32, 30. I don't know how they fit because my waist is now at a 34 but I got them at a second hand shop so maybe they where made wrong. Anyways I'm kinda wide and short and pants usually are very loose and baggy around the bottom while fitting nicely around the thigh and waist. So any other wider guys out there what is a good jean that is pretty good sized the whole way down the leg? Something that leaves the thighs AND the shin area with enough room to move around while not making one super tight or super loose? I'm not looking for skin tight emo pants but not too baggy either, just in the middle.

Your cog is slipping.
Everyone is built really different and I don't think anyone here will be able to tell you which jeans fit you best, regardless of how well you described your build. Be prepared to get your ass to the store and try on some jeans, boy!

I love Levi 511s. Great cut for people with a skinny build, but have legs that are too swoll from cycling to fit into the super skinny stuff like the 510. Since you liked them in the first place, why not try finding a local place with more that you can try on?
I got my at the local Urban Outfitters (flame on, but they have clothes that fit me well, so why not?) for like $30.

I'm loyal to 511s, they are pretty much the only jeans I wear. Relatively cheap, well-made, and fit nice and slim but not too tight. However, if you have a stockier build or don't want jeans that are as slim, go for the 514s, they even make an inbetween 512. Just go to JCPenny or some department store and try a bunch on.

Yo levis 510's are extremely tight except for the black ones which fit perfectly. Not too much bag and not tight either. I own four pairs. only jeans I have.

i have a couple 510s and some 511s that came from an army surplus type joint. they were marked imperfect (thought i cant see why. theyre fine) so they were 20 bones a pair. i wear them on the bike to work, in the kitchen all night at work, on the bike ride home, on the walk to the bar, at the bar, on the walk home, and in front of my pc while lurking ssfg. i love em, and have worn no jeans but them for like 5 years.

I joke about how ridiculous outlier/rapha stuff is, but I'd own a couple pair if I could have any confidence whatsoever that it'd fit well.
Like Scrotzilla said, everyone is fat in different places, and I'd really hate to drop 150 ducats on some pants that don't fit at all.
