Nishiki frame. What do you think?

So this is going to be my new project but I just wanted to get any info. or what you guys know or think of this bike.
I dig it a lot more than my old Schwinn cause its lighter, its a tad taller than I'd like but nothing to worry about.
My dad got it from a swap meet for $60, what can you guys say?

$60 is a very good price for it, good for you.

Also, are those Sugino 75 road cranks? What does it say on the crank arms?

Looks like an awesome buy for $60. Ditch one of the chainrings and I'd say you're good to go. Or just leave it on there as an inelegant chainguard.

Nevermind, the logos of Sugino 75 are way lower.

Now they look like Sugino VP...or BT.

Looks nice. Mask the graphic and have the frame powder coated so it'll look just like new.

Put some box rims on it and a nice saddle and some skin wall tires. It would look sweet.

it's not. you could mask it with other metal during media blasting but even then, it's not. just have it painted. and it's not to that point yet.

i also had a nishiki with sugino vps.

Here is my commuter/foul weather bike. It actually logs at least 4x the miles of any other bike of mine. Nishiki Prestige mid 80's.Tange 2 frame and fork. Sorry for the non drive side pic. I choose to leave the front reflector on the bike because I leave for my commute at 4:30 am.

yeah they are Sugino VP
whats wrong with the saddle? haha looked decent to me xD
plan on having it be my ss/fg
and @Calamander: i was actually planning on painting a bike like that with the red, but black instead of silver, looks nice bro!
I just plan on getting/making bullhorns for it, either repainting it the same red and white or possibly just white.
