got a lead on it bein' for sale. I'm not versed in frames of this vintage, I have not actually seen it yet personally. Is it a descent frame? What's it worth? I do know it's a "Made in England" Raliegh.

Edit : it looks like the link doesn't work at all...

Second edit - now it's working?

Try retroraleighs(dot) com for info on older Raleighs.
Excellent site for info.

does the fork look a little bent to anyone besides me? when you see it in person, TheDL, check for buckling paint.

although what would you expect, from a "tinsel" frame? (hehe, sorry, usually i ignore typos but that one was pretty funny, given the context).

Thanks, I did...this model is not listed.

What would you (any of you) pay for this frame?

ImprezaDrvr 10-07-04 11:25 AM

How many times you gonna post this?

As many times as I darn well please, thanks for asking.

20-30 tubing is Raleigh's own cheap steel. It's not worth that much, methinks. Certainly it's probably going to be a pretty heavy frame. I don't know about any of the components. I know the Grand Prix was just a step up from the Raleigh Record, but I don't know what differentiates the Super Grand Prix.

Thank you all for your insight!

You might read through the rules and see if there's anything about cross posting.

I did a quick check, don't think he's seriously violating any rule. Also couldn't find anything regarding your role as forum hall monitor.
