Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? at the shop where i used to work, we charged $10 labor for installation of a front tube, $12 for rear, and $15 if we had to deal with some crazy internal hub with a full chainguard or something like that. I thought it was a bit high, but it didn't stop most people from paying it. people are sooo effing lazy!

I bought 2 tubes from an Amazon source, they were $ 2.79 each and S&H got it to $ 10.50 delivered. XLC brand w/ 48mm valve stems that came from Niagara Cycle Works. They seem to be decent enough ?

I stocked up at my old shop. 6 60mm valve tubes, 6 32mm valve tubes, 2 48mm valve lightweight tubes. Otherwise, I just buy from Performance. $6-60%=$2.40 a tube for me. They suck but they are cheap. I tend to patch until The tube just starts to look sad then I toss for a new one.
