Really? There are lots of cheap (in both ways) niner mountain bikes out there. What's the additional challenge with a cross bike? Bigger chainrings?

Getting quotes and samples

I know we will have two Aluminum ones; one 4130DB steel one; and a real nice Ti one with a super nice CF fork.

Prices will run $595 or $695 UP TO $1695 or so

Tires will be a new Kenda 700x45; but all will have take 700x30 to 29x2.2
All will have disc brakes of course; and drop bars

Taking awhile to get final samples due to CNY then show time; etc
this is a busy time in the bike biz
But as soon as i can get them on the way I will

The mini's look fun. But why don't these new bikes have the tall seat tubes and forward sloping top tubes like the old BMX F1 bikes. This seems to be a better design, especially for taller riders.

The old F1 BMX bikes had a kinda aggro geometry.

The new mini velo is more of a normal bike.

Want a "retro city bike" today please. It will save me the trouble of building up something for my wife. Are these actually coming?

retro city bikes can easily replace beach cruiser because they are more useful and better geo to pedal

Mini velos, with proper componentry and S&S Couplers, can be the future of touring.

Seriously?! A ti sscx?! OUTSTANDING! The cycling Gods have heard my prayers! When might we glimpse some spy-shots or specs on all these wonderful new creations? Ahhh, my fever induced hallucinations of that winter past, is finally coming to reality! I love my Moto Fantom Unos, but have been dreaming of some new scoots in the stable for a while now! I get some dings from the brohams about putting my Motos by my Sevens, but hey, I keep the Suzukis next to the Ducatis with no ill effect! Why are some folks so against Moto/Mercier/BD, anyway? I don't get it. Can anyone explain? Hey, while I'm getting my dreams met, how bout some more apparel? LOVE my Moto jersey. Thanks Mike/BD!

No
only on the Aluminum versions which will use a 'semi-compact' design
which has a taller HT; so the TT with bend makes sense for increased safe standover

Steel and Ti versions will use a more traditional design; HT will not be as tall and TT will be traditional also

Do you think it does not make sense to increase safe standover on this style bike when increasing HT for extra comfort?

Although its not visually appealing, it makes perfect sense for an off road bike to have a TT like that.
Function>Form.

if the forks are taller, increasing the head tube height isnt as necessary.

I think the mini will be priced around $300.

Steel monster cross $500, aluminum $600 and ti around $900.

Pretty good buys in the market these days. Of course that would be for a single speed model. There would be a premium for a multi-speed cross.

But I think SS is the way to go to save weight, increase versatility and cut the cost.

We get a LOT of requests for tall head tubes; many cyclists want more comfort and to be a bit more upright

I designed the Gravity Zilla to be the 'do it all' bike in a customers assortment of bikes; put on 700x28 tires and do a century or MS150, put on 29x2.2 and mud it up or even change to flatbars for real mountain biking; put on 700x32 slicks and fenders for use as a commuter or even short touring; use the stock 700x45 for all around on&off road versitility; or even a CX race with 700x32 snobbies
If I can bring in the 27-speed at under $600 and the Apex 20-speed at under $800; I think it is a great all around bike

The Reynolds Steel [which can run SS or multi] and the Ti which will be matched with an insanely nice CF fork will both be over $1000 for complete 20-speed Sram setup. These will have the more traditional adventure bike / CX design is shorter headtube and flat TT

Yes
I will keep MiniVelos under $300 as I really want cyclists to get a chance to try these

Monster Cross I have in the works now are all multi speed; but it would be easy to do the Gravity Zilla in SS - if I see a demand later
{the Motobecane Reynolds Steel bike has specail drop outs for multi/ss use**

Right now many customers mount 35c or even 38c knobbies on Fantom Cross Uno for a 'near' monster effect
