front brake caliper with left cable pull?

almost all the brake calipers have the cable pull on the right side for left lever setup. I want to put my lever on the right side and dont want to deal with the cables getting twisted if i run the normal calipers (with right pull).

i want to know if there are any front calipers with the cable pull on the left side?

thanks.

I don't see how this would cause a problem. I've seen plenty of bikes with a right side lever and a standard front caliper.

^ yep. That's how I run mine. It's not ideal, but I've never had a problem with them.

I too have this set up as do others in this forum. It works fine, you just might have to adjust the housing length eliminate any sudden bends

the only reason i see this to be a problem is if the cable is short and would conflict with steer, but if i give more cable slack to accommodate steer, then the cables will just look ugly IMO. maybe i havent seen a nice cable route yet or im just thinking too much.

typically if i just run it as normal/standard (left lever), then the cable could be a clean route with not too much cable or not too little cable because of the way the cable bends.

would you guys mind to share with me how you guys have your brakes setup?

thanks!

And Sheldon Brown set his bikes up with the front brake lever on the right. https://sheldonbrown.com/cables.html

I suppose it looks a little awkward, but it doesn't affect the braking a bit. I don't think it's worth getting lefty calipers to fix. After reading Sheldon "Front Brake" Brown's article on braking and turning, I made the switch to right-front and haven't looked back.

There's no accommodation required for steering, the housing goes from bar to caliper, steering creates no relative movement between the fork and the bar. Just route for no sharp bends.

^ This. Brake cable length/routing being relative to steering only matters on rear brakes.

Bikes: See my sig...

All my bikes have right front brakes save for my hybrid which I loan out to people... cable routing has not been an issue and in some cases the roting looks better.
