How much is a Kilo TT Pro wheelset worth?

This is not a for sale thread.

A friend of mine bought a Kilo TT (Pro?) and an Eighth Inch wheelset for her sister for Christmas. She would like to flip the old wheelset to recoup some of the costs. How much could she fairly sell a brand new, never ridden Kilo TT wheelset? How about a Pro wheelset?

Let's assume no tires/tubes/cog/lockring.

I see them on Bikeisland for $110 shipped, but I personally don't think they're worth that much.

Yea, I totally didn't look up the specs for it or anything, so maybe like $80ish.

Yeah, in my experience with posting parts on CL, I've had a lot of luck selling wheel sets.

...just need to find one buyer. Someone's probably got a fistful of coin for a new wheelset, waiting eagerly for the right moment. No harm in throwing it out there on the market to see what they'll fetch.

I would pay $50. You realize that tubes/tires/lockring/cog cost about the same if not more! I have a set of amelia's. Paid $100 shipped. All they needed was air in order to ride. They included wheels, tubes, tires, cog, lockring. You should have 2 Complete Wheelsets now? Try and sell the Kilo Complete set for $100 on C.L. Good Luck!

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'm going to list it for $100 OBO. I don't think she cares too much how much she makes back, as long as it's reasonable. It's just dead money lying around right now.

I frequently see fixed gear (flip-flop) wheelsets on CL. I almost never see them for less than $100, regardless of brand. I don't know if they sell at that price, but that's just what I see.

They aren't worth much. Maybe try trading them for something that she wants/needs that she doesn't have. Like:

- Quality bullhorns
- Clipless pedals
- Quality saddle
- Quality lock + cash

Just a thought.

That's actually not a bad idea, and that's probably what I would do if the wheelset were mine. However, I think she's just looking for some cash at the moment.
