Small arms fire.
And for the price, that jacket should resist it.

I don't see how you could misunderstand my sentence even with a rudimentary grasp of English grammar.

I don't personally think Vancouver is cold enough for these, but chances are all the Asian kids have them anyway, eh Vixtor?

It's actually worth the cash though.

canada goose is nice but not ACTUALLY water proof. steven spielberg has one tho.

i kept $150 in my pocket over winter and bought the northface mcmurdo.

it is the furthest thing from water proof. even heavy/damp snow will mess it up, especially the stupid non-removable fur. but, it's warm and less gaudy than all the other expensive down jackets out there.

well the northface i mentioned above is hardly gaudy, and downfilled, and waterproof. mine is swamp green and the fur and the hood are removable. has headphone conduit from media pocket. etc etc. i think the canada goose is as silly as wearing prada running shoes.

Go to REI. If the item is too pricey, wait till it goes on sale. REI is the best for outdoor gear (except bicycles).

my $100 burton down jacket has been good to -50c. its taped and waterproofed, but if its that wet, you shouldnt need down anyway.

this.

yea i have a spiewak parka thats about 4 years old that is made of full synthetics and feels really thin like it would be horrible in the cold but its just as warm as my current northface and previous and its also like a scuba suit you could never get wet. holy **** run-on sentence.

I was looking for a deal on a mcmurdo this year but couldn't even find any in medium in Toronto. I've had a CG bomber for almost 5 years but I'm getting sick of it. I picked it up one boxing day at %50 off. There's no way I'd ever pay $500 for one of those.

i'll divulge a bit of a secret. i didnt save $150 on my mcmurdo - i didnt even pay for mine - i was just making the point that CG stuff is overhyped.
i didnt pay for my parka because my sister in law out in the bay area works for the company that owns northface, vans, jansport, etc... she sends me stuff all the time. i have lots of northface jackets, pants, thermal type stuff, +30 pairs of vans, knapsacks and travel bags.... even my kids are fully geared out in northface and vans. its def a bonus.

This is all way over priced, I wear a Gore pack lite windbreaker and a wool sweater to stay warm, unless your biking in weather below -30c/0f you don't need more than that, although if i paid retail for stuff i might find the Orion Jacket attractive.

a REAL ski jacket is a good choice as well, not too insulated, the only problem there is most of them are not as waterproof as goretex.

Sugoi makes nice waterproof riding jackets under 200

The mission Bosun wool jacket is more my thing....

Yall who pay "retail" for this nancy-boy **** are just dumb!

I wear an old canvas army field jacket and a trash bag poncho!

100% waterproof and windproof, and good to 20 below!
