So just out of curiosity I called Harada in Fukuoka, Japan. The guy who builds those frames.
They said they will not under no circumstances repair the frame due to safety regulations by NJS.
If they fix the frame in one place, they take full responsibility for it again and it could break somewhere else and they lose their NJS certification.
The only way to get it fixed would be to somehow locate the original owner of the frame, the person they have on file and get it fixed thru him. Basically, impossible.

Other shops will do it. rene has had a few 3renshos top tubes replaced. I can see why they are trying to cover their asses but you cant race pro keirin so its kind of a cop out.

Yeah, the guy at Dreamworks Cycle in Shibuya, told me there's shops who will do it, but the nice thing about Harada would've been to get the original paint and decals back on after fixing the top tube. Oh well. I just saw a 3rensho redone by the same shop and they copied the decals as well. Looked perfect!

Rene that owns gira gira has a ****load of 3rensho decals that are from 3rensho amungst others. I wouldnt be surprised if dw also have/had some.
but unless the frame has some signifigance I dont think its worth throwing down 500 bucks on a new tube, paint and decals.
