Hmm, I guess I'll have to keep a good eye on mine then. And when they break I'll pick up some of the retrogression straps/pedals. I kind of like it when (cheap) stuff on my bike breaks, because then I have an excuse to buy new stuff.

From the dead thread.....

After years of experience, what pedal straps would you recommend as of now scrod?

Just picked up these about two weeks ago, amazing. They fit so tight and I would never go back to regular straps again.

Those do look the best!
Are they worst the few extra $$$, vs something such as retrogresions, or origin, wellgo....I know reload and holdfast is up there in price with the ynots.

They look like the exact same design as RELoad's straps.

They are similar, but different. The YNOT's are much beefier. Much stiffer as well since the part that slides through the pedal are 3 layers, vs 1 layer on reload. If you step on the reload straps, they will flatten. Step on the YNOT and nothing will happen. Reloads also use a D-ring that prevents your pedal from spinning freely.

I like the ynot straps better. Reloads are good too, but I got them in blue and wanted black later on so tried dye them black and didn't work so well.

YNOT's are more comfortable as well for some reason.

Aurora straps look good also, but haven't tried them myself.

Any strap will work. Just get which one fits your price range and looks best to you.
