I thought it was pretty well proven at this point that gyroscopic forces don't matter too much for bicycle stability. Some researcher built a bike with two front wheels, one rotating counter to the other to nullify the gyroscopic force, and the bike worked fine.

Lenz and other high end mtb manufacturers make ski bikes, but generally with skis on both ends, not a drive system. They all seem to be better "downhill skis" than bikes (and really not very good at that).

I remember seeing guys at breck on big downhill rigs with two small snowboards in place of the wheels as a kid. they would take the bb out and just have a flat bar that was for their feet to rest on. those guys were crazy, you would see them boosting off jumps all the time. it wasnt JA but it definitely was BA

it only snows once about every 10 years.
and they dont clear the roads when snow

so the city is empty.
so it would be fun for a day or to, then back into the garage for ten years.

I was really hoping that ski bike was going to get some air at some point but while it seems cool I think actually skiing would be cooler

If that were Grant Peterson's bike it would have 650b wheels and a stack of stem spacers

You're correct that a bike without gyroscopics will still ride. However, that is not to say that it will not make it more difficult to balance. Notice I didn't say that it wouldn't ride, simply that it will be less stable. And when riding in the snow, I imagine you want all the stability you can muster.

No problem with dual tri-spokes on a visp with risers and no foot retention?
