Coolest track frame ever!

In your opinion, what is the "coolest" track frame?
Coolest for the value?
What would you get if you could have any?
And what do you have now for whatever reasons?

This is what I like (needs a little work).
But for the value I dig Masi's track bikes.
I have a Bianchi Pista right now.

i'm a big fan of that ratskl crew gara.

i think i made a thread about it.

coolest ever: https://prollyisnotprobably.com/2010/...PINP-thumb.jpg

no seriously. so much hate for it but he was easily five years ahead of the game on that.

other than that i'd be hard pressed to choose between an anchor PHM9, a colnago pista, a gan well pro evasion, and a 3rensho.

as for off the shelf?

i think LDG's aluminum aero frameset is pretty 'cool'

so is the mash, so is the vigorelli, so is the ftp, so is the sonik, so is basically any trackbred streetable bike that's meant to make a visual statement, that doesn't completely suck for the street. maybe that means most of these aren't cool, because a sonik or ftp on the street are just too stiff for most.

i think if i had to get something cool off the shelf i'd go with an LDG aero, but that's largely because of the fork. and they're all sold out, so this is an academic exercise either way.

Leader's got a new 735 in the works and that will likely be my next bike, because as much as i want a custom Ti track bike, i'm not that rich and i'm too smart to spend the little money i have on something like that.

then again, the 735 could suck ass(i feel that leader is VERY hit or miss, with a great number of misses. any company that puts out V1 and then V2 because something is ****ed up is not a straight shooter), and if the 735 isn't as cool when it resurfaces as it was in 2008 vs. the competition, then i'd go for a tk2 if i could get it as a frame only. however, if the 735 hits as squarely as the 722 did, i'm down for a 735, even if it's "real bike" priced.

or i might want a STUPIDly stiff steel custom from a local builder, but i'd likely end up making it way too expensive even with steel.

i ride a kilo tt right now because i love it and it's a ****ing awesome bike, and if you don't agree you are a ****face.

Either something that appears over - engineered

Or something more classy

Such as a broakland pipebomb; plus in my case I get to support a local business beyond just buying something they carry, but rather they make.

Bikes: looks like a specialized crux now

my masi makes me wet at the momet, so it will be a bit before I can find a frame I want to replace it.
and I lusted over that bridgestone or a anchor for way to long to. Yeah I know, something that has no business on the road.
Or a piece of carbon.

Check out the classifieds on Fixed Gear Fever, you might find a TK2 or other frames that you might like.

IS $325 for a TK2 frameset a good deal?

yeah. my friend has been trying to sell his for $500 (which I thought was too much, but he said he'll probably eventually get it)

not big on the mash or the regular vigorelli. can't say why, just something about it.

and the phm9 annoys me with its usual 1" threaded build

that orange 'nag is best of show so far. clean, clean, clean...and dugasts!

myself, i'd have to go with nagasawa and an all-superbe build. i've been lusting for a japanese materpiece to add to the stable (anyone have anything in a 52x55?) and in an ideal world, it would be this. perhaps geared? same build?

value? i like soma. nicely built, TIGed prestige tubing for a fair price...or add a couple hundred for the same thing with gorgeous chromed lugs. too spendy? then you want a 631-tubed sputnik, which sadly you can only get used these days. i ride one currently.

Why is a squiggly chainstay a good idea?

Probably smoothed out the ride a bit but most likely just a trademarked design.

That De Rosa is hot!

I always liked the look of the GT track bikes so I bought one a few years ago and it is a great frame.

...still infatuated with pursuit frames from the 80s here. Look rad, but practicality, or lack thereof, pulls my finger off the trigger.
