Help identifying a Fixie Frame!! And opinions on 09 SE Lager

So Im thinking about buying this fixie from someone on Craigslist and its a 58 cm, which is a good size for me from what I have heard, im 5"11 - 6"0

Only thing is he doesnt know what kind of frame it is, or any of the parts.
Its about 300 which is fairly cheap for a fixie but he sent me a picture and I'm wondering if anyone can identify the frame from that F in the front or the structure of the frame. There's only one picture so I doubt you can get much but its worth a try

ALSO, What are your opinions on the SE Lager 09 version. A LBS offered to sell me one for around 380 before taxes which isn't too bad but I have heard theyre a little overpriced and the same bike as other cheaper ones such as a motobecane?

If I was you I would probably go with a Kilo TT from bikesdirect. I'm not sure what that is in the picture but it doesn't look that great. The SE Lager doesn't seem all that bad judging by the specs (for the $380, not for the MSRP), but I think it's ugly.

yeah looks kinda ghetto. I second the bikesdirect, or try to find something else on craigslist. Depending on where you live, there could be some great stuff.

If you don't know much about bikes in general, I'd say buy the Lager from your LBS. That's a decent price (not outstanding) but making sure you get a bike in your size and put together by a shop that will service your ride for you is worth the "small" increase in price over shopping at BD.

I bought a Lager from my LBS a year ago and it's a nice ride, it was my first FG and I wanted something I could buy and just ride and not worry about. Components are decent for the price (formula/alex wheels, fsa cranks, cane creek headset, origin 8 bars, crappo saddle/pedals). Decals are kinda fugly but I don't mind. I paid $299 at my shop about a year ago but they are usually priced lower than other shops in the area and seem to cater more to the FG/SS market.

I'm 5'11" and generally ride a 54cm, (but apparently I'm longer in the leg and shorter in the torso than average and like shorter top tubes). Seems most people my height end up on 56cm frames. My point is that a 58cm might be somewhat large for you. Best check your fit before plunking down cash.

I have an 08 or 07 lager, and it's a decent bike. The one thing to look out for is the TTs on them run short. My 61cm has like a 58cm TT..its a little silly.
