Schwinn Single Speed.Advice please!

Hi everyone. I really need some opinions and advice from you guys. I found this schwinn single speed bicycle on craigslist that seems to fit my needs. This is my first ss bike and just need for recreational and some commute use. The problem is she doesn't know anything about it since it was her ex boyfriends bike. She only knows that he's 6'3 and he took care of his bike. She is selling it to me for $150 after a little bargaining.

Im 6' even and want to know if the pic in the picture would fit someone my size; obviously just estimations. Any more info you can give me about it from the pictures would be great.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated!

That's a huge bike. Even at 6' it might be too tall for you. You'll know once you stand over it and try riding.

I probably wouldn't pay $150 for it, judging by the 1 piece crank. That's a pretty good indicator of a low end bike. However, if it fits you, I suppose it's not a terrible buy.

Yeah I noticed how big it was compared to that chair. I don't want to drive 25 mins to find out it's too big. But thanks for your input.

That's a 60 some cm frame.

I'm the same height as the OP and ride a 55cm.

The size was the only thing thing that was keeping me from biting the bullet. I'm just so anxious to ride a bike again. Im on a really tight budget so I guess I'm back to stalking the craigslist ads. Thanks again guys.

From the picture, I wouldn't pay more than $20 for that.

Ahhh...the old girl selling a bike on Craigslist for her ex-boyfriend trick. That way if you have any questions she can say "Uh...I don't know anything about bikes. It's not mine". It happens all the time.

That bike sucks.

Where do you live? Or, maybe a better question, what CL do you check? I'll pick something out for ya.

Crap not even worth 20 bucks?! I live in the Los Angeles area so I've been browsing the ads daily trying to find a solid affordable bike.

Wow, stuff is expensive in LA! This one is more your size, but still not a great deal by my standards: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...219816420.html

Equally not nice.
One piece cranks are bad.

And the frame and wheelset....

One piece cranks are a no - no nonetheless in these cases presented above.

Pictures are way too small and grainy to determine anything. No info on the bike?
