Budget track pedal comparison

The lady likes this pedals:

http://cgi.ebay.com/WELLGO-PINK-ALUM...6#ht_822wt_907

How do they stack up against MKS Sylvans or GR9s? I'm a huge fan of GR9s myself, and wouldn't mind trying out Sylvans, given the chance. But, as far as pink pedals go, these Wellgos are pretty cheap. Are they crap? Do they spin smooth? As smooth as GR9s? Are they repackable?

Those Wellgo pedals really aren't too bad and are the same ones rebranded by Soma (Hellyer track pedals) Velo Orange (VO Track pedals) and All-City (Cecil Pro). Newer model Wellgos are fully serviceable and have an allen bolt in place of the plastic cap found on older ones.

I helped set up a pair of those with straps and clips; let's just say it's much easier to thread double straps into than sylvans... OUt of the box, MKS pedals are smoother although these are pretty smooth considering the price of them. However if you don't remember, MKS pedals reach their prime after the break in period before their first repack.

I absolutely HATE getting straps through Sylvans and usually end up filing the slots to make them a little bigger. As happypills said, it's much easier on the Wellgo pedals.

So are the Wellgos I linked to serviceable or not?

Seconded on getting straps on Sylvan. Pain in the ass. Getting them out too. Using Soma Doubles.

I think they might be but they have a plastic cap on the end (like GR-9s)

They are.... the plastic cap will be a bit chewed up in the process nonetheless.... if you still have it in place... plastic pedal caps come off so commonly....

You read. Scrod said newer model Wellgos have an allen bolt in place of the plastic cap. The ones in the listing clearly do not have allen bolts in place of plastic caps. Derp. That would imply that the ones in the listing are older models.

then you did read so stop asking questions that you know the answer to, Derp. Whatever that means. Tard.

Guys, relax. Derp vs derp.

It could just be an old pic on that listing too. Good luck if you decide to ask abaxo questions. You won't know until you get 'em.

They're great sellers; they're really good with customer service and question from my and my friends experience anyway. We even got them to combine my and my friend's shipment before!

They're awesome sellers, have great prices and I used to buy a ton of stuff from them but the few times I've asked questions all I've gotten back were vague, half-assed responses.
