all that and they threw on a Sugino messenger crank...

yummygooey 02-18-11 05:03 PM

Looks like a crappy attempt at some concept renderings that are actually pretty cool.

no it's not that bad, it's what is on my bike, But if you are building up a "concept" bike you put something good on it.

It's probably just on there for the aesthetics. It is a cool looking crank.

Nobody who knows what track cranks are thinks the Sugino Messenger is cool.

Bahahahahaha.

Totally rad, but all I can think is "men's step through."

...and how that turns. Hour attempt?

Fork is also a fail -- straight steel fork on your cf wuenderbike? Something carbon with a profile which more closely matches the frame details, like in the concept sketches. Doesn't have to be custom made -- plenty of off the shelf stuff would have worked fine.

Steel frame. Why not a steel fork?

It kind of looks like a buffalo.

lol, I was thinking the same thing. I've had bad errr... crotch crash experiences as a kid, so that bike looks scary!

Looks like somebody put the marketing department in charge of design.

i suggest youd turn using the handlebars.

motobeCarnage 02-19-11 12:22 PM

Top tube/headtube interaction is baffling, errr, buffaloing.

muckymucky 02-19-11 03:07 PM

i'm calling this out to be the new direction performance bikes are going.
just look at LOOK's top of the line 596. link
i'll give it 5 years before this is industry standard in SUPERoversized Aluminium/Carpetfibre TUBING ofc.

question is: would the Columbus Gods weep or rejoice?

mickey_ 02-19-11 03:39 PM

Don't most bikes utilize triangles because they're rigid? Why does this one use a series of parallelograms?
