The "inflatable fairing" thing is merely stupid, the "bike" under it is ****ing stupid. Why the hell do so many people who've obviously never even sat on actual bike feel the need to "improve" it?

I know I love nothing more than to sit directly on my balls while getting on a bike... now I have a chance to do it on purpose!

That ad rules. I like "a single enforced inflatable beam is bearing weight of a car". Let's just not mention the 600 cables supporting the inflatable beam seen in the pic.

I don't think that Mohsen Saleh (the designer) has ever actually seen a bike before.

He/she solved one problem (getting wet) while simultaneously creating dozens if not hundreds more.

why do the wheels say "commuting time trial"? Really? Is that something hipsters do? Which explains why the colors don't match.

That's gotta be a joke.

What's next - a tandem bike with a cone of silence?

It's probably a school assignment like, "Come up with an original solution to a real-world problem. Make the drawings, text, etc..."

I would imagine that it's just an exercise in how to design for the launch of a new product....I really hope so.

Thats right, most of these designs are just concepts. Is a webpage where people upload their work and gets commented

It's a bi-uni-spaceship-cycle

Really though that is dumb, and I agree that it is probably a commercial engineering assignment.

Bad bike design concepts are nothing new, sadly.

If you rode this thing in 0mph winds and a mosquito farted, you'd be flat your face.

Ergonomically, that bike looks like a nightmare...I can see shoulder blow-outs a-plenty. This, in addition to the aforementioned trauma to the ballage region.

Also, how do you get on that thing with the turtle shell in place? Note that even with being surrounded by all that inflatable cush, the rider still needs to wear a helmet.

I wonder if they'd make one with a sunroof...

That looks like something R2D2 would ride if it had longer legs.

I can see myself using that as a table to play dominos after a hard ride.
