First photo of my new bike.

While this may not be the perfect bike for many of you, it is for me. I am looking forward to picking it up on Sunday at NAHBS. Mike DeSalvo was a GREAT builder to work with and he executed my vision perfectly. I"ll post a few more photos after I pick it up.
Have a great weekend.

Those are spades....I was initially uncertain about the crankset, but I am glad we went with it.

Looks great!

Expensive cranks.... well, if I were to convert a colnago, those would be the cranks.

I wouldn't choose that color, but hey its not my bike! Looks like you have some great components on there.

Is it titanium? I know that's what DeSalvo is famous for right?

It is titanium. He definitely does a lot of titanium, but I am not sure if that's what he is "famous" for. In the frame building community I know he is very highly regarded for his welding. I believe he has won best welder at NAHBS multiple times.

Should've went for completely clearcoated raw titanium.... that way there's less of a assumption that you're riding a steel bike by the unknowing person....

I totally understand what your saying, but I am not too worried about the misconceptions on the material. Most people will probably think it is a steel bike and only the discerning observer will see the stays and realize it's titanium.

Oh just saw the stays lol

Why didn't you go for half raw fork legs aswell to complete the classic look?

That would have been cool, I just never thought of it. I can't say I have ever seen that done before, I like your thinking.

Seriously?
It was all the rage during the bike boom years.

Plus could've kept the decals on the fork like they are.

Clearly, the Paul cranks are very polarizing. I like them, right now, and I am curious why so many people oppose them?

I do remember those days. Would that look good with the carbon fork?

it's an arthouse design.

paul components are great but i hate the playing card theme and think a spiderless crank is a bad design for a fixed gear.

desalvos are beautiful though. love his bikes. i'm sure i'd like that as a road bike.
