2-cross Lace pattern

What death will ensue if I 2 cross my rear wheel? I can't seem to find any information about it online... Considering I'm a pew'ny guy weighting in at only 130lbs (On a good day) and I'm not into the skidz...

Will all hell break loose if I lace my rear track wheel in a 2-cross pattern?

(Side note: yes I am aware that I should lace in a 3-cross because it is stronger, however the spokes to complete a 3-cross require me to wait... Which I am fine with doing if 2-cross=death...but I like keeping myself busy so I would prefer to dabble in another wheel build over waiting another week.)

Probably not death but less efficient power transfer (hub to rim via spox...)
Wait and do it right.

2x

some hub/rim combo's necessitate a 2X patern.

if your rims and hubs are 32H, just use 3X.

you'll be fine.

I had a set of 32h DP-18 laced in a 2x pattern a few years ago. Never had any problems with my 125 lbs. Occasionally truing, nothing extreme.
