Had a self-done frenum, I don't wear jewelry in it anymore, found it more annoying than comfortable after a while. And no, it didn't hurt that much. I can't imagine the apadravya.

Don't even bother with a PA. It's not that great for either person, and you have to sit to pee. Might as well just go all the way through.

I had thought about a PA, maybe not now.

A PA just always seemed like not enough practical function and too little aesthetic gain. I mean hell, make it enhance something or at least look cool. My old hardware didn't do shît, but it looked sweet.

Curiousity is getting the best of me, what was your old hardware?

Well. I've got no ink. No piercings. Well, I did pierce my ear twice. Once "normal" once with a bent fork in a bar. But, I've got nothing like that. Few scars. Well, a good amount of scars.. Nothing fancy.

Guess I'm the plain Jane of the group. Though I did stay at a Holiday Hotel.....

As far as piercings.. I have my lip pierced and a monroe and my ears are stretched at 5/8" and 3/4" and I'm going to 1" in both.

piercings: septum, nostril, lobes stretched to 1/2", cartilage in each ear about halfway up. i had my lip pierced for about 3 years, but it started to feel funny last year so i took it out to let it rest a bit, and the hole closed in about a week and a half. i kind of want to get both sides of my lower lip pierced, or another septum right behind the first...i've also thought about doing my bridge, but i think it'd make me go cross-eyed. i also wanted to get my conches done, but then i realised that it would seriously eff with my hearing, which wouldn't be good, since someday i hope to actually use my degree in audio production.

Do chainring tattoos count? I've got a few of those. And a few dings in my shins from pedal cages.

OK you MIYP guys, i gotta ask a couple questions that have been on my mind....

Do you tell the girl/guy/potential victim beforehand, or do you just suprise them? What has been the best reaction so far?

Ryan -- Self done? Maybe its just me, but i'd leave that sort of thing to the professionals, no?

Dave -- when you had multiple rings, did they jingle when you moved? Did someone not know you had them, hear the jingling mid-coitus, and as if you were some sort of cyborg?

What inspired the decision to put MIYP?

MIYP (MIMP?) girl here. I surprise them, no reactions have been too strange (usually a quick "what's that" or a weird look, then I'll explain). In later conversation, I did get a "I like it, it helps me find my way when I'm, uh, lost".
My biggest problem is trying to keep the barbell from coming unscrewed when I ride my bike!!

Many times I surprise them. At a 6 gauge with 3/8" balls, it's pretty freakin' big. It gets reactions from "Oh my God, you're insane," to "Oh my God, can we get married?" This is unless, of course, I met them in a bar. In that case, I've probably already shown them and half the other people in the joint anyway (btw, greatest pickup 'line' ever). It hasn't turned anyone off yet. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Best reaction was from my doctor. We had been joking about him setting me up with his daughter. When I dropped trou, he got all quiet. He said, "I'm shipping that girl to a nunnery."

No jingling to be had. Unfortunately, never had them at a time when I was more socially active, so aside from a few appearnces at parties, never had the opportunity to get any reactions from the opposite sex.

Oh, and I did 'em myself. :) One of these days I'll get 'em again.

And people thought I was weird when I shoved a safety-pin through my ear in High School.
