2010 madison sizing
tried asking in madison superforum and my pic request, but no avail.
for all you madison owners, i'm 5'9" with a 30.5" inseam. Small or medium? |
More legs, or more torso/upper body/arms?
|
legs about same length as friend who is 5'5". a little more upper body I suppose?
|
Medium, for sure.
Though you could rock the smaller size with a ton of seatpost. |
The Schwinn site is so useless, they used to have the archive for the '10 Madison, now they don't even have an entry for a 2011. Wtf mate.
As I recall, a medium Madison was like a large...they are huge bikes. Scrod had a medium(53cm) I think and he's 5'11. It's best to contact Schwinn or dig through the internet for a geometry chart of a 2010 Madison and compare. |
medium even with my possibly shorter legs? btw, I fit a 52 Windsor timeline pretty well if that helps. do you own one of the 2010 maddys?

I'm also looking for Cutter / Racer geometries if you guys can help. Thanks. |
Why don't you call Nashbar since you will be buying the bike from them? As a retailer of the item, they may be able to help you out.

Actually this was listed right on Nashbar's website, you really are a great detective aren't you?
Thanks for the Madison geometry. I'm more interested in the Cutter / Racer geometry. |
vw was implying that you didn't look very hard, as he easily found the info on Nashbar's site and that they may be able to help you further regarding geo and sizing if you contact them. Whether you're buying from them or not is irrelevant.
edit: if you're not interested about the Madison's geometry, why did you ask about it?

The standover on my Maddy was pretty far up into my junk. I ride my bike much more than I stand over it though, so it was never an issue. If you're 5'9" the medium will most likely be perfect for you. |
yeah true that, but when buying online I feel that's it's the easiest way to gauge fit.

i stand corrected. are you still able to stand over it though, without smashing genitalia scrod?
|
Yeah but it was about as tall as I'd ever want a bike to be. I no longer have my Maddy.
|
sad times. why'd you let it go?
|
Too many bikes!
|
illegitimate answer.
