Brakes and Levers

1 Attachment(s)
I am currently builing my first SS and looking for ideas for breaks and handles. I will be using drops. Also, a place to purchase them. I am getting close and thinking about something similar to my brifters on my road bike.

Thanks

Dave

I'm assuming you're gonna use drop bars, but without knowing that for certain it's hard to answer your question. So give us some more info, duder!

EDIT: I missed the brifter mention. So yes, drop bars?

It really depends on your style, if you want something boxy, the VeloOrange PBP rims are a good choice and the oh so popular Opern Pro and M13.

What style are you looking for?

Huh? He's asking about brake levers.

Campy, SRAM and Shimano make levers that similar in style to their brifters. This can get pricey.

Squirrelli, I think you meant to post this in my thread about the Lunetten. Ha!

Do you find the cable exits to be any bother in this use? I've been considering something similar for a build.

I use these and they are awesome. I don't use them on drop bars but I am pretty sure that is what they are designed for. Also they hide the cables which is nice.

The guides dont bother me at all. The shifters don't really work anymore so I can always trim them off if I want. All the old Shimano 9 and 10 speed brifter designs fit my hands pretty well while the new 10 speed designs feel too small for my hands :(
