Basic and cheap cadence computer for fixed gear riding? Ideas?
The title probably says it all.
All my local shops have computers that have cadence, but it's usually the more expensive ones, with more functions than I will ever use. I have thought about getting a cheapy computer and using the mysteries of maths so that it shows shows my rpm not mph... but most, if not all, won't display more than 99.9 I'd imagine, making it a bit pointless. |

get a $20 computer without cadence,
put your gear ratio into this http://software.bareknucklebrigade.c...it.applet.html then just remember about what mph would equal in rpms. that's what I do and it works good enough, and is free if you already have a computer. |
cadence readout is pretty worthless when you only have one gear to work with.
