anyone used (powdercoat question)
Anyone used the website www.powdercoatstudio.com ? The price seems good. Got two steel track frames I was looking to make a little nicer and was seeing if anyone has any luck with the powdercoat from these guys. And for those of you who don't know they did the Alien powdercoating so if you have an Alien, how's the color, strength and overall coat?

Is that local for you? If not,2 way shipping will add $80-100 to the pricetag.Might be better to look around locally.I have a guy that does a frame and fork for $100 blasted and coated.

When shopping for powdercoaters make sure they have done bikes and have pics of previous jobs. There are plenty of pics around with powdercoat gone horribly wrong on lugged frames.

Where are you located? That might help someone give you a recommendation for a local shop.

Look up metal plating, with your own cleaning if the frame and parts with aircraft remover and a local plating it could work in your favor. I got one of my steel bikes plated in copper and left it outside through the winter to have it start to turn green, it's awesome.

Also, some enamel paint/lettering paint works great also. $20 worth of paint and some talk with a good artist at the shop will set you up.
