crank set dust caps
Do they even matter? I've been riding da 7600's for about a year without them and started thinking about it today. If it matters, my bb is a sealed pw.
|
they keep crap from getting into the crank's threads, which is good if you want to remove your cranks and not have to clean them for the crank puller. They mattered in the days of loose ball BBs and routine crank removal. There are crank bolts that double as caps
|
They look nicer then just having the bolts showing... problem is are you willing to spend ~$20 for a legitimate metal set these days?
But you can always search around co - ops and LBS to see if they have any. (don't accept plastic one's that just pop in!) |
I am missing one dust cap. I had to remove my cranks, guess which side was the hard one to remove. Could be a coincidence.

My 7600's could be wearing dustcaps?!?! FML someone link me to buy kthx!

i have some cheapo sugino plastic ones. i dont think i need them but i like them :) btw allot of cranks wont fit them with common crank bolts (the crank bolts with a black spacer thingy and silver bolt in the middle) because the black spacer fills the space inside the crank. |
Don't lose sleep over dust caps.
