1. I know. I've used the internet for more than an hour in my life.

2. I know. I've taken an introductory college English course in my life. However, it's common enough in my usage that I can continue to use it and have my point understood. That's what "vernacular" means.

I like when these threads turn into silly arguments about grammar and usage because that's when I get to close them.
