Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

New (longer, less rusty) seatpost on the way and new saddle in the future but I couldn't resist sharing what I have so far. Anyone got any saddle recommendation, color or model? (One in pic was a random spare.)

Running 48/17 with 165mm cranks, blah blah components blah blah.

Me? It's 285mm ground to center. Picture is kind of at a weird angle maybe. I just went and rode circles and couldn't force a pedal strike without trying pretty hard, so hopefully I'll be ok. <crosses fingers>

I swapped the risers that came with it for bullhorns. Loving the multiple hand positions it provides.

I like your bike. I'm actually working on something a lot like yours. A Pake frame with a Leader Trick Star fork running on 26"s. I'll post it when its finished.

She's not. I put the seat up just for the photo on the first one. And the last one, it was still my bike before I bought the Mercier. But when she rides, it's all the way down.
