Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It is indeed, good eye. Really liked the look of the cranks, and they are my LBS, so it was a no-brainer.

Nice, they look really good on that bike. Any thoughts on the crankset? I was planning the IRD Defiant but considered Affinity for a minute.

Originally a 14 speed road bike, but got bored of riding it and decided to convert it to a fixie. Had to sand down the original paint and bought a few extra parts for the conversion. Used to ride this around Davis while I was still in college, but now that I've graduated don't have the time to ride anymore so I'm planning on selling this bike. Sometimes I wish I was still in college...

I'll chime in as always.

I've been riding the Affinity cranks since I got my blue 722 and I rode with them all the way to Austin (some decent climbs after you pass La Grange). They held up nicely through all the abuse I was putting into them. Didn't feel flex or anything. They somehow always stay relatively clean looking as well. Very happy with what they put out and how they look for their price point.

Every time you hear a bell ring, it means that some hipster just got a mash.

Yes I do. I wouldn't have if you were to have said "Like my carbon clinchers?"

You created a paradox through by making them heavier by trying to make them look lighter through.
