I'd go rather go for a Suntour Superbe Pro with NOS Superbe Pro chainrings.

I don't know who uses those cogs. I've seen one in person, but only in a fixed gear boutique.
This is a photo of the what I think is the German National Team's mechanic's box. All Dura Ace with 17t Euro Asia cogs because Dura Ace stops at 16t.
(I didn't take the photo. I can't recall where I found it.)

you seem to have too much disposable income to make good choices.

Yea yea @xkillemallx16 and @LupinIII oh and that cog is going to be $50-with 20miles on it
Ive saved up a lot of money and now I have a great job..and will soon be starting up a new business so yea Ive got some cash..plus I don't drive and I never eat out anywhere
so that's about 12k I save every year from now driving. I grow a lot of vegetables herbs and fruit, so the food I do eat is free! and super nutritious.
and I am making a **** load of smart decisions. Because I do research and ask people with background experience before I buy anything.
don't hate, appreciate.

Painfully average.
Dude, Im sure youll be fine with a scrodcog. You say you save up all this money and grow your own food like you're a farmer, so just save the money for the deluxe if you must have an eai cog.

A deluxe? I'm not sure I fully understand what your talking about, but yea I'll totally be ok with the 7.99 Avenir cog I have. But my bro ****ed up his tailbone and hes selling everything to pay for his medical bills, so I think Ill buy the cog from him. its new with little miles on it and it will hopefully get him some penicillin or something.
and @calv I am definitely a farmer! an Urban Farmer

No need to justify your unnecessary expenses to us. Just go buy your cog and be done with it.
I mean, you came here and asked us what we thought and we told you the exact opposite of what you wanted to hear, yet you are still going to purchase the cog. $20 extra is $20 and I personally wouldn't waste $20 on a cog that's going to be run on the street. A cog like that is better hung up on a wall than actually used. Or hung around your neck on a matching gold chain.

Don't mean to resurrect an old thread, but was pointed here by someone.
As background, been racing track for almost 30 years, the last 20 or so as a Cat. 1. Those EAI Gold cogs are the business, with caveats: If you stick them in an everyday drivetrain (SRAM single-speed chain/FSA chainring), you aren't going to feel much. But as part of a full driveline (Sugino Zen Racing rings/Izumi Super V or equivalent chain), the difference is there. The best way to describe it is it feels like extra chain lube has been applied. Super slick. And the driveline is quiet, which is weird getting used to. As any track racer will tell you, noise means things aren't meshing the way that they should. I raced mine the entirety of last season, two track nights a week from June-September, and it looks like new. Magic? Nope. A difference? Definitely. The difference between winning and losing? Nope.
Whether someone should be spending $100 on a single cog is one question. Whether it is effective is another. Thanks for reading, and hope this helps the next time the question comes up.

Good description. I felt a huge difference once I installed the cog.
I'm running Omniums arms, DA Chainring, sram chain and eai cog=stiffff
