Tesch was one of my co-workers at Trek back in the early 80s. He left Trek to join Masi USA in California, and then set out on his own. Track bikes were his personal favorite -- we used to do weekly car pools to the track in Kenosha.
He died in the early 90s from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
I'm kind of surprised he isn't appreciated more here -- he has a pretty awesome reputation in vintage circles.
