Anyone ever use these tires?
 

Kevlar Vittoria Pro-Team Open All Weathers - Black and Green. 700*22c.

They feel really great - just got them on for the ride in tonight, and they were really smooth. I'm not sure how long they'll last, though.

I'm going to have to take more metal off of my fork to use them, though. I figured I'd have more clearance going from 25c to 22c, but I guess not. But they look really pretty. I wish the green were a little more celeste, though.

I like my Vittorias but mine are Ronnondoleurs (sp?—don't even think that one is in the s'n's; and I'm too lazy to get up and look, too! Bad teacher! Bad teacher! Oh, those lashes hurt! Oh those lashes hurt!). Aside from being a total ***** to get on the rim and losing many layers of skin on my palms and puncturing three tubes, they were f-ing aweseom. Love'em.

These are folders, really soft rubber. Easiest tires I've ever changed. About 10 min to switch both, and that includes taking the old Gatorskins off (those are a b!tch to get on) and filling them with air.

I like them a lot although I don't have a ton of miles on them. Like you mentioned, soft with a nice ride. Just about the roundest clincher you can get. Not sure how flat resistant they are compared to Gatorskins or Tservs but so far, so good.

HereNT - What do you mean about removing metal to use the tires? Curious...

I was really impressed with how they felt so far, but that's only 7 miles. I think that the reason the are rubbing might be to the roundness - the Gatorskins have a very square profile. They've made my rear end more bumpy, though. Lots more vertical bounce off of the same bumps on my commute, and they are both at the same PSI (100 lbs).

Looking at her in the morning before I left work, I did feel that the color is just a little bit too far off. I think that I need to find some really nice all celeste tires.

I had less than a MM of clearance before. A coworker of mine tried to put a sheet of 20lb paper between the wheel and the fork this morning... He couldn't, because there wasn't enough room. I'm going to make the cutout in the very top of the tube a little deeper, so the wheel doesn't remind me of The Triplets of Belleville every time that I ride it. I swear last night that when I was at the right cadence, I heard his grandmother's whistle. Exact same timber and pitch, though quieter...

Give em time. The green will start to fade once the water and sun hits them. BTDT. Love the tires. Super comfy and did well when it came to punctures.

BikeInMn - thanks for the second link. The first comes nowhere near to being able to fit in my frame...

auk - I'd have to ride more than once a week in the daylight for your suggestion to work. Maybe if I move to second shift... What does BTDT mean anyways?

Just got done with the dremel tool. Still almost zero clearance, but enough that it doesn't rub anymore. I now know that there is about a half MM of up/down play in my front rim. Pretty good for not truing it in 3+ years...

Now I know exactly what you are talking about - I put my wheelset on my Paramount and the wheel won't turn with 700x25, jams in the crotch.

So, 700x19 -22?

I'm thinking about one of those straight chrome forks from a NY bikeshop, with a brake hole to boot, because I suck.

Those are nice forks. I bought one a few months back and have it mounted to my Paramount track.
