good wheelset for under $215

so I'm about to pull the trigger on some black b43s, brand new for $200. Everyone is saying they're heavy as **** though. Is there anything else in the marker thats 40mm+, looks good but doesnt weigh so much?

not trying to spend more than $215..

Do you have the ability to lace your own wheels? FOERs from Scrod's shop, IRO hubs from IRO, and some spokes.

If you're willing to give up on the 40mm rims, get the Wabi wheelset. It's $150, and will actually PERFORM well.

velomine has cxp22 to formula for about wabi price... and they have open pro to formula but are sold out.

or get cxp33s to formula. probably under 200 if you can find them.

cxp33/formula here. they are swsome!

try to climb a hill with B43s and try on Mavic open pro.

unless you are going to jump 10 stairs and other high impacting tricks, stay away from B43.

Just go try the open pro. or cxp22/33.

the rides areawsome and climb MUCH nicer than that heavy B43 or even Veeps

not a fan of B43's. I love the way they look but they're heavy as balls.
I can feel a huge difference between my B43's and my DP18s. The DP18's being a significantly more enjoyable ride.

I was interested in B43s and Veeps when I was shopping for the wheelsets.

they are strong but heavy.

pretty damn heavy I have to say.

so I went with Mavic CXP33

MAVIC all the way~

they are Made in France~

Eighth-Inch has their Julian V2's for $175 shipped. The only light(er) solution for a deep(er) wheelset are to use H+Son hoops..
