BFSSFG Cogapalooza.

Dude, we better start like 3 days early from due date, because my fat ass is going to be lagging

It'd be a 14h bike ride nonstop, and a comfortable clip.

But we could definitely do it touring style, and bring some mini tents.

This sounds ****in awesome. lol

Mumonkan 07-02-12 09:36 PM

im jealous just thinking of that idea. camping and bikes...

Spoonrobot 07-02-12 09:46 PM

14 hours to run 190 miles fixed with the BFSSFG crew?

Probably count on one hand the posters who would be able to do that.

Scrodzilla 07-02-12 09:47 PM

Can I be your middle finger? I'll sleep on the ground without a tent.

I also decided that I need to start another band. I don't miss the grind of being on tour all the time but I do get a craving for making heavy music, recording and playing live occasionally. I recently bought a well-played '62 Fender Jaguar from a semi-famous friend of ours and it seems to be possessed by extremely creative/mischievous demons so anything can happen.

Dude, come to Chicago and we will make music together. We could use a shop like that here, too. Also, old Jaguars make my pee-pee move just a little.

Today I had a really lovely ride to work. No one tried to kill me, traffic was light, it was hot but not as humid as yesterday, no flats. However, I learned that yesterday I did indeed lose my gloves. (I thought I had just left them at my desk at work, but they are not here after all.)

jimmytango 07-03-12 09:44 AM

You didn't lose the new white ones did you? Those things were rad.

hairnet 07-03-12 09:59 AM

great ****ing start to the day. No more than 4 blocks from the start of my commute I get right hooked by a car in the MIDDLE LANE (of 3) trying to get into a damn Target parking lot. It's a ****ty stretch of road because of the parking lot so I always take the lane and just try to fly through there (and no, there is no other way out from my neighborhood, it really sucks) I saw it, grabbed a fist full of brake, yelled my lungs out, and tried to match her turn. I still shouldered her passenger door and knocked her mirror but I managed to slow enough to not cause damage to myself or the car. Kept on yelling, saw the look of shock on her face, and just rode off. So ****ing angry the whole ride to work, only ten fabulous miles to go

At least you're ok, right?

I did. I am going to check with the building lost and found, I think they might have gotten left in the locker room or dropped in an elevator or something. I hope. I really liked them. The white mesh back helped reflect the heat of the sun better than any black gloves I have.

Today I got an earful from the sqrl at breakfast over how ****ty the book fifty shades of grey was... mostly about how she wants the author to not get a single penny more for the POS he wrote and how all this talk about it convinced her to pay cover price.

On a another and more cycling related note, it appears kryptonite is unrolling some new logos and they slightly revamped the machining on the evolution mini-5.
I just received this from them today.

yeah and I am calm now. I wrote that an hour after the incident and was still hyped on adrenaline or something. I normally shrug off close calls and carry on but this time I went off.

That sucks. I have the black version, and they're good gloves. I used to have a friend that had the same ones you had, and she liked them a lot. Hope you find them.

I have a friend that works in a bookstore and gets kinda pissed when that book is mentioned. Apparently she feels that it's the worst book ever.

That's good. We all have our moments where we just flip out. Some people don't seem to understand that a person can have a bad day. One of my closest friends decided not to speak to me anymore because I had a bad day and was drunk a couple weeks ago and flipped out. C'est la vie, nón?

Sweet typeface!

The T in Evolution is thicker than the other letters, though. Some art students should not be allowed to work on text.

Yesterday I got to cross something off my bucket list.

Got laid to the Diablo 2 sountrack. Yes it was higher on the list than "bang a MILF" and "bang a cougar". Don't judge.

I don't even know if that's an accomplishment.

This is exciting news to me.
