yeah its sitting there in my amazon wishlist as i wonder what i should do with myself haha

today i work for 4 hours and go into the city to look at bags and leather jackets, then school till 10 meh?

hamfoh 10-17-12 07:58 AM

Today I'm looking for a good lever/hood + brake setup for my big block. going to ATX for 4 days at the beginning of November and brakeless there isn't going to cut it for me, I like living too much. Plus I'm going to ride the ms150 on this baby so I'll consider it a future investment towards that

striknein 10-17-12 08:26 AM

SRAM S500 or Cane Creek SCR-5. Everything else sucks right meow.

hamfoh 10-17-12 08:42 AM

could those SRAMs really be worth 2x the price? any caliper recs?

Crandrew 10-17-12 09:05 AM

Well i had been missing out on my yearly trip up to the city, so i contacted a sqrl i know up there and I booked the trip. Yay!

I wonder if i'll see the mash crowd pulling mad skidz on their way down to Philz for a cup of coffee and a splif.

I liked the cheap Tektro hoods I got from TreeFort, I don't remember the model number. Just grab some Apex or Rival calipers, they're cheap and good and they look nice.

thinking cane creek scr-5's to sram apex calipers (ddead let me know which hoods yours are if you find out)

anyone see a reason I shouldn't do this?

edit: already want to splurge for the sram

mine MW vandal has broken 3 times in four places (buckles/zippers)

granted, its got over 10k miles on it, and they fix it for free, forever (or until they go out of business)

the s500s should feel just like your force levers, so there's that. splurging on contact points is worth it

hamfoh 10-17-12 11:57 AM

what do those miles entail that would have buckles and zippers breaking

hamfoh 10-17-12 11:58 AM

picking up lots of beers?

anyway, lol, that's what i was gonna say...how can miles be put on a bag? I would think it would be more of a function of how much the zippers are used.

I mean ****, I have a mouintainsmith backpack that i have used for 8 years constantly and the zippers have never broken, and I've put that bag through hell. Don't know how many miles i walked or rode with it though.

yeah, you are hard on gear in general. that's why shoeface should give you all the gear for testing.

oh yeah forgot about the deliveries.

afraid to ride with you. you must log 500 miles a week and a weekly elevation that adds up to my total of all time

Leukybear 10-17-12 03:58 PM

Today I commuted on my MTB for a change and proceeded to ride it into the ground. Jump all the curbs, avoid all paved surfaces!

jackss731 10-17-12 04:27 PM

Today I got bored and tried to go as fast as I could on my trainer.
Cycling computer said I hit 46.4 and I'm running 45/16 so my cadence was 210.
I dont trust it though http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...31/bike122.gif haha

Today I'm beginning than refinishing process on this:

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=279065

Nice little alley find. We need a new entertainment center, so that's what this will be. Solid wood, no particle board or anything here. It's a little beat up, and the doors are trashed, but I'll make it beautiful.

FakeFuji 10-17-12 05:31 PM

Hey for free if there's no roach eggs in it , it's a win in my book

I love doing that every once in awhile, so fun. I did that a couple days last week after getting a flat on the rear of my usual fg commuter that I couldn't patch, and was out of the correct size tubes for it.

Dannihilator 10-17-12 05:49 PM

Today I discovered that not only did I cut down my front tire, I also cut down the rear tire on the 930...
