No, more like the go to make eggs, sausage, pancakes, and waffles and end up with a bowl of cereal kind of guy.

Hopefully not if you weren't doing it for a feminine companion.

If that was the case I would make a hot breakfast.

Today I got a flat with my brand new gatorskins :(

Then I realized that my CO2 pump was broken.

Bummer.

Tonight, I barely made it home ahead of the rain. It is pouring now, but it was drizzling when I was riding back.

Thank you bike gods

hamfoh 08-13-11 11:31 PM

today I had to stop early in my ride and fix my chain tension, I swear these phil hubs make me ******** or require the tightening of a hulk to be set right. jesus christ. oh and then while practicing skids in a parking lot I thought I felt the cog move... again... a week later. I tried to recreate it but I couldn't, so I'm hoping it was somehow.. something else

Oh and I took the 725 out for the first time since adjusting the seatpost/seat angle and flipping my stem. My god it feels like a different bike, though I feel like a heavy gust of wind can blow me over on this thing. I don't know how srod rides it with an aerospoke, the thing responds to everything on the road.

DirtyBusiness 08-13-11 11:52 PM

Ordered some trekking bars for my bike and rode 26 miles.

DirtyBusiness 08-13-11 11:53 PM

And I think I finally got my seat adjusted where I want it. :-)

Last night I had a dream that my cog was loose. You know you're a bike dork when. . .

Aha at least yours aren't that you crashing and going down an embankment/ hillside... scarier is when you're able to sometimes dream what actually happens in the future. :notamused:

I lol'd.

Today I haven't done anything. I'm also excited because I have swim practice at 6:00 am for the next 5 days. :thumb:

Today I made the mistake of riding by a small, marshy lake during the high humidity hours. My new jersey has the corpses of a couple hundred gnats on it now.

did the alameda -> chabot space & science center ride with some extra hills + mileage along the way. gearing coulda been lower, i was at 46/16. went down snake road on the way back. pretty fun.

NICE!! I love doing that route. I usually come in from Skyline Blvd->Alameda. What route did you take to get to the science center?

EpicSchwinn 08-14-11 03:35 PM

Today I want to go riding around Bellingham but it's cold/cloudy/windy. That's mid August in the PNW for you. I might just HTFU and do it anyway.

i dont remember exactly, but it was mostly 35th > coolidge > monterey blvd. > lincoln > joaquin miller rd > butters drive (beautiful!) > skyline blvd, after which i went to the ranger station to refill up on water. then back up to chabot.

We should totally get up together.^

PlattsVegas 08-14-11 05:17 PM

Today I replaced my front end. Fork, headset, stem, bars, grips + cantilever brakes. Old parts of a free '90s diamondback mtn bike. Totally screwed up my color scheme, but its worth it for the brake.

Lilcphoto 08-14-11 05:56 PM

Today I:

...am in need of a 10 speed chain, chain whip, set of handlebars, and a shifter cable and then the 722's transformation will be complete. Tho, it isn't as much of a transformation as I had hoped, it still will be good.

On that same note, why is it I have no friends that I can hang with that own chain whips? Maybe for christmas I'll ask for a proper set of tools (then again, I have almost everything I need...bought individually without thinking of course)

in 4 pics plz

Today I htfu'd and went for a ride regardless of the weather. While locking up I ran into (figuratively) another fixed gear! I know for most of you this is nothing out of the ordinary but I have literally only seen about 4 other fixed gear bikes all summer. Does this kilo belong to anyone on here?

Today I got out for a street session on the DJ'r.

Tomorrow wet wet wet road ride.

I walked into a shop that never responded to my application. Now, I might become the dedicated bicycle assembly guy. I don't know whether to be happy or sad, but it's a job. Volunteer work at the co-op = good experience FTW!!

 I'll have an income soon and taxes

That's 4 more than I've ever seen where I live.

xavier853 08-14-11 08:54 PM

Today, I planned a (little over) metric century ride with my friend for this saturday. Should be a blast! I am going to ride it fixed

mashtofu 08-14-11 11:39 PM

Today I went out to brunch and had my Godzilla locked up near me on the patio. Some chick saw it and went CRAZY about it. "Oh, my, GOD, that is the COOLEST bike I've ever seen! It's so sparkly! I want it to be MINE!" Hahaha. I was blushing. She didn't even notice my boyfriend's Mash right next to it :p
